Maplewood Township Environmental Resource Inventory
Work began in 2025 on the development of Maplewood’s Environmental Resource Inventory (ERI). In collaboration with Sustainable Maplewood and the Environmental Advisory Committee, a consultant is producing a comprehensive document that identifies, analyzes, and maps the Township’s natural and environmental assets. The ERI will support the Master Plan, municipal sustainability initiatives, and strategic planning efforts. It will align with Maplewood’s Sustainable Jersey goals and incorporate input from residents, stakeholders, and municipal departments to reflect community values and priorities.
Maplewood Township Master Plan

It outlines community-established goals, objectives, and strategies for orderly and balanced physical, economic, social, and fiscal development. The Plan incorporates Maplewood’s sustainability priorities and guides decision-making across municipal initiatives.
